Does RentGrid work with my existing meters?
If your meters expose RS485/Modbus, pulse output, or LoRaWAN, the RentGrid IoT gateway can read them. Configurable Modbus device profiles let you add brands without redesigning the platform.
Can the web app switch off electricity directly?
No. RentGrid Cloud sends a secure command to the gateway, which controls a properly-rated contactor installed by a qualified professional. The system requires device acknowledgement before reporting a change of state.
Are balances stored safely?
Yes. RentGrid uses an immutable financial ledger — every load, consumption, refund and adjustment is a transaction record. Balances are never overwritten without an audit trail.
Is there a test mode?
Yes. A clearly-labeled Sandbox Mode simulates meter data during development. Production mode only processes authenticated hardware readings.
